Jurala water reached to Ramadugu reservoir

Water released from Jurala project on Krishna river began reaching the Ramadugu balancing reservoir on Saturday paving the way further to supply drinking water to the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district. Irrigation Department officials said that Ramadugu was receiving about 15 cusecs of water and as the releases continue from Jurala, the inflows are expected to reach about 150 cusecs to 200 cusecs in the next two or three days.


Meanwhile, officials said a total of 0.520 TMCft of water was received from Karnataka at Jurala project with inflows reported at the rate of 850 cusecs. Officials also said that they were informed that the upstream Gural barrage in Karnataka stopped release of water after sending .9 TMC ft of water to downstream Jurala.
