TTDP to hold public meeting in Gajwel

Hyderabad Feb 15 : Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TTDP) plans to highlight the alleged resentment of the people against the State government in the Praja Poru Bata at Gajwel on Wednesday.After conducting first Praja Poru Bata meeting in Kollapoor of Nagarkurnool district, the TTDP leaders intend to take up agitation programmes and a public meeting at Gajwel represented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy told mediapersons here on Tuesday.


He said the State government had failed to fulfill its promises made during the 2014 elections such as loan waiver, double-bedroom houses, three acres of lands to SC/STs, 12 per cent reservations to tribals and Muslim minorities, KG to PG free education, women and tribal universities, establishment of special fund for SC development and developing Hyderabad as a world-class city.“According to National Crime Record Bureau, 3,000 farmers committed suicide in the State in the past two and half years but the government failed to build confidence among them. Through the agitation, we would like to raise the confidence of the farmers,” Reddy said.


Talking about agitation, he said the government was not allowing opposition parties to speak in the Assembly hence we decided to expose government’s failures through the public meetings.
