Following High Court orders, forensic experts conduct autopsy again

PEDDAPALLI : On the directions of High Court, forensic experts from Osmania and Kakatiya Medical colleges conducted post-mortem of dalit youth Manthani Madhukar, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Khanapur village of Manthani mandal, on Monday. His body was exhumed from a graveyard in the village and handed over to the forensic experts.


According to a  forensic experts team member, the second post mortem took five hours and vital samples from the body were collected. The team will be carrying the samples to Regional Forensic Lab in Hyderabad to conduct lab tests.


The post mortem was conducted under the supervision of Karimnagar Chief Judicial magistrate K Kusha and the entire process was videographed.  Peddapalli ACP Ch Sindhu Sharma told media that the CD of the second postmortem report will be submitted to the High Court.


Following a written requisition made by the family members of the deceased demanding post mortem for the second time, the investigating officer in the case Peddapalli ACP Sindhu Sharma asked Tahsildar to write to KMC doctors regarding the re-post mortem.


Expecting a large gathering of various organisations, police deployed security personnel in large numbers at the graveyard where the youth’s body was laid to rest.


DCP, two ACPs, CIs, SIs and a large number of police personnel were deployed in Khanapur to control the crowd and to check any untoward incident.


DCP Vijayender Reddy told mediapersons that no injuries were found on Madhukar’s body during the first post mortem. The police interrogated 50 persons to gather evidence against the culprits.
