Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is set to meet several non-BJP and non-Congress leaders in May. To begin with the TRS supremo will meet Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik in the first week of next month.

“KCR's meeting with Patnaik is taking place as part of TRS supremo's efforts to bring in a qualitative change in the country’s politics. Since Odisha legislature is in session now, Naveen has invited KCR to meet him in the first week of May. For this KCR has agreed," an official press release said. TRS leaders said that KCR has already listed out some prominent leaders’ names with whom he is planning to meet.

He has already sought appointment with NCP leader Sharad Pawar, SP Mulyam Singh Yadav or Akhilesh Yadav, BSP leader Mayawati and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. So far, the TRS chief met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Deve Gowda. Former Jharkhand chief minister Hemanth Soren called on KCR in Hyderabad recently.

Official sources said that KCR is busy with preparing agenda for the TRS plenary to be held on April 27 in the city. After his party’s annual conclave, KCR will dedicate most of his time to meet the leaders and invite them to join his front to serve as an effective alternative to BJP and the Congress in 2019 elections.
